Ain’t this a butt-kicker!
This little beast, manufactured by Transformational Defense Industries, Inc., looks like it’s a hell of a lot of fun! Official unveiling by TDI is supposed to take place at this year’s Vegas Shot Show. Being somewhat infatuated with the carbine platform myself, I’m sort of licking my chops when it comes to the KRISS Super V. Also, I find the Super V technology intriguing. TDI claims the system reduces felt recoil by more than 60% and reduces barrel elevation by more than 95%. I think we’d all give a big “+1″ to that concept, eh?
Personally, I’ve created an account at TDI’s website (linked above) and have signed up to be on the waiting list for this weapon. TDI states that simply being on that list constitutes no commitment on the part of either party. As far as I can tell, TDI has not made a peep regarding retail cost, but I’m betting that this puppy might command a healthy chunk of change. They say they will notify all registrants regarding pricing “at a later date”. It’s entirely possible I’ll choke when I get that notification, and the KRISS Super V will just end up another casualty on yours truly’s dropped fantasy list.
It will be interesting to see what kind of splash the CRB/SO makes at the Shot Sow, and what the industry’s feedback will be.
I’ll keep ya’ll posted!
